The Research and Enterprise office is the hub of the Massey University system in supporting researchers in all research-related activities, throughout each stage of a researcher’s career. We support both staff and student research and provide a fundamental link for outside organisations who wish to work with our researchers.
The Research and Enterprise office is the hub of the Massey University system in supporting researchers. Research support is also provided in each of the five colleges (i.e. Creative Arts, Health, Business School, Sciences and Humanities and Social Sciences).
The Research Development Advisor team is available to assist you throughout the research process; from developing partnerships and research ideas, connecting you with researchers, applying for funding, proposal writing and budget development, managing your project and reporting your results.
Our Contracts team has extensive knowledge in preparing, collaborating and reviewing legal agreements and contracts (e.g. Research and Consultancy Agreements, Intellectual Property Agreements, Non-disclosure Agreements, contract law and intellectual property law). In addition, the team provides legal advice to a small number of Massey business units

The talented Research finance team are responsible for all financial services and reporting deadlines/milestones associated with the execution and management of funded research projects and formalisation of business relationships with partners and funders and students.
Our Research Information Management team provides essential support for institutional research management and the planning and implementation of strategy and policy for research and enterprise functions. This group serves as the key linkage point for institutional monitoring of research performance and provides governance support for all research-related committees and PBRF.
The Research Ethics team is responsible for the provision of advisory and specialised administrative support to staff and student researchers to ensure that research is conducted in a responsible and ethical manner. They also manage activities of five committees (i.e. Human ethics: Northern, Southern A & B, Animal Ethics and Genetic Technology) and maintain application procedures.
